Each year, part of Jesolo’s beautiful seafront promenade is dedicated to a famous artiste, which is why it is known as the Seafront of the Stars.

The traditional event, which takes place every Summer, began in 2001 when the first stretch of seafront was dedicated to one of Italy’s greatest actors, Alberto Sordi.

Since 2001 onwards, internationally and famous Italian artistes have been guests in Jesolo and, each year, a new stretch of seafront is dedicated to one of them. 

Today, the Seafront of the Stars has names like Alberto Sordi, Gina Lollobrigida, Andrea Bocelli, Mara Venier, Lino Banfi, Katia Ricciarelli, Carla Fracci, Mike Bongiorno, Christian De Sica, Nancy Brilli and, since 2009,  the name of Italy’s greatest actress,  Sophia Loren.

Every artiste, to whom a stretch of seafront is dedicated, leaves an imprint of his or her hands.  These prints are now part of an exhibition at the Kurasal Museum in Piazza Brescia.
