Renovated fisherman's house on the Cortellazzo canal
The house
An early-1900s historic fisherman's house facing directly onto the Cavetta canal, in the heart of the Cortellazzo village. A faithful restoration completed in 2022 under the supervision of the Heritage Authority: the original exposed larch beams, the Istrian-stone fireplace and the Venetian terracotta floor on the ground level have been preserved. All the systems have been upgraded in keeping with the landscape conservation order.
Over two levels: ground floor with a large living-dining room overlooking the canal, a renovated rustic kitchen and a guest bathroom. An original wooden staircase leads to the first floor with two double bedrooms and a main bathroom with a tub. A small private courtyard at the rear with vehicle access.
For those seeking pure authenticity: the fishermen's marina 50 metres away, the little church from 1698 200 metres away, the Laguna del Mort 15 minutes by bike. FWA fibre connectivity installed in 2024. Ideal as a holiday home, a weekly retreat, or a residence for anyone who loves true slow living.
