TEDxJesolo: the theme for 2026 is Taboo There are topics we learn to avoid, words that hang in the air, questions we postpone because they seem too uncomfortable, too intimate, or too difficult to tackle. Taboo originates from this: the need to look with more courage and sensitivity at what often remains in the shadows, not because it doesn't concern us, but because it touches us deeply. Talking about taboos means creating space for what has been silenced, listening to diverse experiences without judgment, and recognizing that behind every silence there may be a story, a fear, a choice, or a desire for change. It is an invitation to approach delicate topics with respect, openness, and humanity. Because some conversations are frightening, but they can also become the first step toward better understanding each other, feeling less alone, and imagining a more aware community.
