Lido Est
"The quiet Lido, a stone's throw from the Pineta"
What it's like to live in Lido Est
Lido Est is the eastern stretch of the seafront: it begins after Piazza Manzoni and continues with Piazza Milano and Piazza Torino, up to where the Pineta begins. Compared with the livelier centre, the tone here is distinctly more residential and quiet: less nightlife, more greenery, easier parking and a mix of permanent residents and second homes.
It's the last stretch of the Lido before the woods: Via Bafile reaches this far without the intensity of the centre, the side streets are often closed to traffic and the beach is more spacious. Piazza Torino, which closes the seafront to the east, acts as a natural threshold towards the Pineta and its trails.
It's the choice for those who want the Lido but with calm, privacy and nature within reach. Good build quality, modest service charges and prices more affordable than the central core, with the chance of rental income thanks to the proximity to the sea and the Pineta.

Frequently asked questions
Is Lido Est alive all year round?
More than the centre off-season: there are permanent residents and essential services stay open. It's an area designed for living calmly, not just for the holidays.
What's the difference from Lido Centro?
Centro is nightlife, shopping and events, with the highest density of hotels and the towers of Piazza Drago. Est is the opposite: residential, quiet, green, beyond Piazza Manzoni towards the Pineta.
And from the Pineta?
The Pineta is the area of villas immersed in the woods just to the east. Lido Est is the stretch of seafront that precedes it, with the advantage of having both beach and woods nearby.
Is it suitable for families?
Very much so: quiet streets, easier parking, a spacious beach and the Pineta a stone's throw away for walks and cycling.
How much does it cost compared with the centre?
On average less than the central core: it's a more affordable residential band. For indicative figures see "Getting your bearings on costs" above.
Parking trouble in summer?
Far less than the centre: the area is wider and quieter, with parking easier to find.
