Jak się tu żyje — Lido Ovest

Lido Ovest is the western stretch of Jesolo's seafront: it starts at the Faro — the iconic red lighthouse overlooking the mouth of the Sile, towards Cavallino — and runs up to the threshold of Piazza Mazzini, which it excludes. It's the Lido's gateway for those arriving from the west, with Piazza Aurora, Piazza Marina and Piazza Nember punctuating the seafront and Via Bafile beginning here its kilometres-long pedestrian run.

The mood is the classic seaside one — beach, lidos, gelaterias, hotels and restaurants — but a notch quieter than the heart of the nightlife that beats towards Piazza Mazzini and Piazza Brescia. Life remains seasonal: from May to September everything lights up, from October to April it slows down, while still keeping permanent residents and businesses open all year, especially near the Faro.

Perfect for those who want the authentic Lido but with a little more breathing space than the centre: a second home for a full holiday, or a short-let investment. The building stock is varied, from 1960s detached houses to more recent blocks on the back streets, with prices on average more affordable than the central core.

Najczęstsze pytania

What's the difference from Lido Centro?

Lido Ovest is the stretch from the Faro up to just before Piazza Mazzini: same beach and same services, but quieter. The heart of nightlife, shopping and events (Mazzini, Brescia, the towers of Piazza Drago) is Lido Centro, just to the east.

And from Lido Est?

Lido Est is the part beyond Piazza Manzoni, towards the Pineta: even more residential and quiet. Ovest is closer to the Faro and still has the buzz of the western seafront.

Is it too quiet in summer?

No: it's full Lido, with beach clubs, venues and Via Bafile. The density of nightlife simply grows as you move towards the centre. Here you get holiday life with a bit more breathing room.

Is it worth buying here to rent out?

Yes: prices on average more affordable than the central core and good summer demand. An attractive yield, especially near the beach and the Faro.

What stays open in winter?

Supermarkets, pharmacies, some bars and restaurants, especially around the Faro where there are more permanent residents. The seafront empties out but the area doesn't shut down completely.

Can you visit the Faro?

The Jesolo lighthouse, with its red tower at the mouth of the Sile, is one of the town's symbols and a classic spot for walks and photos, especially at sunset.
